Celebrating Jewish Holidays and going to Temple. Some famous Jewish people from America is Albert Einstein, Leonard Bernstein, Adam Sandler, Senator Joe Lieberman, and singer Barbra Streisand.
America is bordered by two different countries, Mexico and Canada. There are a lot of people in America. The estimate of people is about 318.9 million people! During the years 1664-1665 American Jews fought for the right to establish a Jewish town in New Amsterdam, (present day New York) they did achieve their goal and built a town for themselves. Not many Jewish-related events have happened in the U.S. Before WWII, there were 4.8 million American Jews while after the war, there were 5.2 million Jews! There are sadly not any Jewish-related places that existed before WWII. As for significant Jewish/American events, there aren't many. We did fight for Jews during WWII and the Holocaust. People in America celebrate Passover by having a Seder, a Seder is a traditional set of steps we must follow during Passover, it is usually only done on the first one or two nights of Passover. Seders also help us remember our bitter life in Egypt (bitter herbs and saltwater), but it also helps us to celebrate our lives now (relaxing) and we celebrate that we are no longer slaves in Egypt. Passover is when we remember how the angel of death skipped over Jewish homes on his way to kill every firstborn in Egypt, we remember how Moses lead us out of Egypt and G-d gave him the power to split the Red Sea. On usual Jewish holidays, we eat Challah, but on Passover we eat Matzah and clean our homes of bread products. Some Jewish recipes we eat in America are:
